Castelsardo is a lovely town located just 20 km from our house. It takes its name from the castle that dominates it, and which constitutes its historic center. The modern city is beautiful, among other things there is a truly delightful small port. From the walls of the castle it is possible to enjoy a view from above, and it must be said that the panorama is truly spectacular.
But it is above all the castle that is wonderful. It is an ancient fortress built on the sea, which for centuries and centuries has effectively defended those lands from any invasion. Today the castle is a very characteristic historic village, which we absolutely recommend visiting. From its walls you can enjoy a unique panorama, which extends over all the coasts of the Gulf of Asinara, up to those of Corsica.
